When should I call a moving company?
The earlier, the better. Although the actual truck assignment may not be made until a few days before your move, it’s a good idea to give your moving company as much notice, if possible. The more lead time you can give, the more likely we will be able to meet your preferred delivery schedule.
All moving companies, for their standard service, require flexibility with alternate pickup and delivery dates. Crescent Movers aspires to meet your preferred dates or the nearest possible alternatives. You will be notified in advance of the loading date for your goods and of the estimated date of arrival.
Crescent Movers will answer any questions you may have throughout the entire process.
When is the best time to move?
If there is a choice, most moving companies suggest you select a time other than summer, the end of the month or the end-of-year holidays. The heaviest demands are placed on trucks, equipment and personnel during these periods. In general most people move the last week of each and every month. Moreover, during the summer months, June-October, many people are looking relocate. Ideally, the best time to move is in the middle of the month, on a weekday, and during the Spring time.
What size moves do you service?
We can assist you with the smallest, one item move, as well as a full house. Crescent Movers provides all types of moving services including local moving, office and commercial building moves, piano moving, even art and antique moving.
What distance moves do you provide?
We provide inter-building, local, long distance, interstate, and intrastate moves.
Will my furnishings stay clean?
Crescent Movers trucks provide a clean, smooth move. Crescent Movers protects your upholstered furniture with protective wrap before it is covered with furniture pads.
When should I get an estimate?
Obtaining a quote for your move should be done as soon as you are aware that you will be moving. Every estimate provided by a moving company should be free and it should not require a cash deposit. Local moving is charged by the hour, but our hourly rate depends on the number of crew members it takes to safely and efficiently complete your move.
When should I schedule my move?
If you are limited by any date and time restraints, we recommend scheduling your move as far in advance as possible, especially if you plan on moving in summer. There is no downside to booking your move early. However, if you call short notice with any last minute requests, our team will do everything they can to accommodate you and your move.
